Land to the east of Southam.

A sustainable neighbourhood for east Southam.

Barwood Land is proposing a new, sustainable neighbourhood of up to 1,700 new homes, a mixed-use local centre, approximately 2.8 hectares of employment land, a primary school, safeguarded land for a secondary school, sports provision, areas for play and associated green infrastructure including an attractive riverside park, at a site to the east of Southam.

The site is included within the draft housing allocation under site reference SOU.1 in the emerging draft South Warwickshire Local Plan, which is due to be submitted for independent examination in December.

Barwood Land intend to submit an outline planning application for the site, and this public exhibition is an opportunity to share our proposals with the local community and seek your views on the scheme.

As the application will be in outline, the focus of this exhibition is presenting the key principles which would be fixed as part of an application and invite your feedback. Details of house types have not yet been prepared, and the draft master plan is illustrative, representing one way the proposed development could come forward.

We want to know what you think! Your feedback will be invaluable as we refine the proposals, prior to the submission of an outline planning application for the site.
